Our client within the financial services industry is looking for a BI SQL Developer to join their team on a permanent basis. Their office is located at York and King Street, downtown Toronto!

Compensation: $75-85K base + 10.5% bonus + RRSP plan, 3 weeks vacation, full benefits and 5 paid personal days per year.

The BI SQL Developer with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS ensures the continuous integrity, performance and capacity of the databases and related data stores of the organization. The position involves both hands on management, and strategic planning and design for the database environment. Designing and implementing effective and standard security methods; practical capacity planning approaches; and integrated application design are fundamental components of the role. The position requires good team working skills in that working with staff that deploys internal and external business solutions is paramount. The development aspects of the role include creating test platforms, stored procedures and other database related programming methods as required.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work on integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
• Assist in the design of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with BI solutions.
• Experience in designing and building data warehouses, data marts, reports and dashboards.
• Experience with creating, optimizing ETL workflows and translate business requirements into ETL and report specifications.
• Develop and implement interactive analytic reports and dashboards.
• Experience with building SSAS cubes.
• Must be comfortable with dynamic, fast paced environments with the ability to adapt quickly.
• Must be able to transform data into actionable items that will help to provide data driven business decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Expert-level knowledge of SQL Server 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2014, SSIS, Reporting Services, Transact-SQL.
• SQL development scripting skills including stored procedure, functions and complex ETL packages
• Understanding of application lifecycle management using TFS.
• Understanding of database deployment process and performance impact assessment.
• 5 years’ experience in database related to web-based application development
• 4 years’ experience in MS SQL Server database administration
• 5+ years experience with creating and optimizing ETL workflows
• 5+ years experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
• Scripting languages Power Shell and python is preferred
• Experience in distributed, multi-tiered application development in a team environment
