Business Intelligence Specialist, Level 3 6 Months to start

The Land and Resources I&IT Cluster has a need for Extraction and Load solution development application implementations including ETL Wire application for its client ministry, the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MOECC).
Work includes but is not limited to:
 Review new and/or enhanced requirements and provide technical feedback to ensure requirement gaps (if any) are appropriately addressed .
 Provide work effort estimates as required for project schedule finalization
 Problems investigation, detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis and providing fixes for issues identified in existing ETL applications as required
 Develop, program and test solution alternatives to the ETL problems
 Develop detailed design documentation for the new and/or enhanced solution
 Solid design and ETL development experience
 Good working knowledge of PL/SQL
 Ensuring proper data loads occur for many data sources including dynamic and static sources of data
 Unit Testing, providing information to Testers and othe team members
 Working closely with the other developers and project team in ensuring successful project delivery
 Troubleshoot and problem fix defects
 Participating in meetings, providing regular and ad-hoc status reports
 Creating documentation for work completed
 Participate in knowledge transfer and training activities
 Design, Build (i.e. Develop code, Unit Test and document design documents and other related documents) and complete deployment packages including related documentation to fulfill business requirements;
 Document all changes carried out for review and approval by the Client;
 Prepare and document the Deployment Guide for deployment of the solution to production environment and other environments in the format required by the Client;
 Review and receive confirmation to proceed for all application design decisions from the LRC project manager and LRC Solutions Lead Designer before proceeding to develop and/or make code changes;
 Work with the Business Analyst and project team to ensure requirements are fully understood and complete, design and ensure implemented solution fulfills requirements.
 Work with the project team to identify performance or availability issues and provide solutions;Support resolving day to day issues;
 Assist in design reviews;
 Provide improvements, changes or Defect Fixes identified during iterative sprint testing, Quality Assurance (QA) Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the Application and Application enhancements;
 Provide systems designs and program code which conform to Client ETL Informatica Standards;
 Experience with Informatica 9/9.5 PowerCenter;
 Experience developing ETL mappings and workflows using the PowerCenter tools: Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, Repository Manager;
 Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL;
 Experience with OLTP and OLAP data modeling;
 Experience in understanding and updating UML based design documents;
 Experience with developing monitoring and error notification processes to ensure data is updated as designed.
 Experience with the development of common utility components;
 Experience in contributing to large, complex, IT system development and implementation projects;A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines;
 Experience in the development of distributed applications
 JavaScriptExperience with Informatica 8/9/9.5 PowerCenter
 Experience with OLAP/ETL analysis and design
