logistically impossible, russians will run out of ammo very quickly, and will not be able to resupply quick enough. Supply route thru Iran is expensive and requires full iranian cooperation and open war between Iran and Turkey. 30% of iranian population are of turkish origin. It is suicidal for Iran to have open war with Turkey. So, very very unlikely.

So, once turks are engaged in the open warfare, Russia can only mount an attack on Turkey proper from the North East - from Armenia. It is very mountainous area, so frontal armoured assault (where RF have numerical advantage) is not practical. It will devolve into air combat (where sides are more or less evenly matched), Su-34+C300 vs F-18/16+Patriot. I would expect heavy losses on both sides and then whole thing will quiet down as ground operations are extremely complicated for both sides.

So, no Great War for you :)
