JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Java developer with strong background in Spring, especially Spring/Integration and Spring/Batch, to join a team responsible for the development of data integration services combining data warehousing, data caching and real time messaging technologies. This is a new and strategic initiative within the bank to radically overhaul the way that data is managed. They will be introducing a common data model.

The following skills and experience are REQUIRED:

- Core Java development (Java 1.6)
- Experience with Spring, Spring/Integration and Spring/Batch
- Strong database background; could be with any database – SQL, Oracle, Netezza
Example: programming, schemas, data modeling (will have to judge models that they will develop against)
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processing (the specific tool that they use is C24)


The following skills and experience are highly DESIRED:

- Knowledge of Composite desirable (this is a data abstraction software; Composite Information Server)
- Knowledge of FpML, FIX and other banking protocols and standards is highly desirable
- Knowledge of GemFire or Coherence is also desirable
- Knowledge of JMS/MQ is also desirable (Java Message Service/ Websphere MQ)
- Exposure to Capital Markets business is a nice to have; they will be interfacing with the technology line of business and working with a Business Analyst, so this domain knowledge will be a huge asset
- Experience with large scale integration projects with other Financial Institutions would be a huge asset
