n order to remove the median islands and install temporary traffic signals, crews will be reducing lanes at the Jane Street and Highway 7 intersection. This work will help prepare for the first phase of rapidway construction. Please see the details below about temporary lane closures:
Lane closures at Jane Street & Hwy 7
Dates of work*: Tuesday, November 12 to Friday, December 6.
Hours of work: 7am to 7pm
Work locations: Various locations on Jane Street, at the Highway 7 intersection.
Description of work: Crews will be installing temporary traffic signals and removing centre median islands.
Noticeable impacts:
• Temporary, alternating lane closures in each direction at Jane Street and Highway 7 as required from 7am to 7pm. Expect traffic delays due to lane restrictions.
• Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times, however dedicated right and left-turn lanes may be reduced.
• Traffic control staff and paid duty officers will be on site as required. Some noise impacts may be noticeable.
As construction activity and lane closures continue along Highway 7 West, please remember to reduce your speed through construction and community safe zones.
