William Nylander became the sixth member of the Toronto Maple Leafs to hit the 20-goal mark and the third to hit the 60-point mark this season with a goal against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night and he’s heading back home a lot richer because of his first period marker.
Thanks to the bonuses listed on Nylander’s current contract, his 20th goal of the season earned him an extra paycheck worth $212,500.
The 21-year-old has now collected his maximum of four bonuses this season, earning him an extra $850,000, which is $17,500 more than his yearly base salary of $832,500.
