Mark J. Carney (born March 16, 1965) is the eighth and current governor of the Bank of Canada... On November 26, 2012, Carney was announced as the next Governor of the Bank of England by British Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne. Carney will assume the position on July 1, 2013 for a five-year term.
