NEWS about immigration to Canada for UKRAINIANS!

Canada is introducing two new programs for Ukrainians: one program for those who wish to come to Canada for a temporary term and another, reunification of families for those who want to stay in Canada on a permanent basis. More details will be provided over the next few weeks!

For those outside of Canada

Canada cancels visa regime for Ukrainians!
Ukrainians who wish to arrive to Canada on a temporary basis will be able to obtain a Canadian-Ukrainian permit for emergency travel (Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel). Applications are scheduled to open in 2 weeks.

IRCC plans to create a special family sponsorship program to obtain Canadian permanent resident status (PMJ, PMP, PR).

Once they arrive in Canada, Ukrainians will be able to apply for an open work permit, which will allow anyone to work, anywhere in Canada and in any company! NO NEED to have a job offer!

Non-vaccination Ukrainians can travel to Canada if they have a temporary residence visa, a temporary residence permit, or proof that the application of permanent residence in Canada has been approved.

Canada will provide one-time travel documents for immediate family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents without passports.

For those who are in Canada

Citizens of Ukraine in Canada can apply for an extension of their status.

If you've received a job offer, you can start working while your job permit application is under consideration!

IRCC will provide open work permits to Ukrainian visitors, staff and students currently residing in Canada and unable to return home.
