A Toronto-bound Air Canada flight from Frankfurt was forced on Friday to make an emergency landing in Ireland after an unruly elderly passenger allegedly lashed out and bit one of the members of the flight crew.

Al Hinnegan, a passenger on Flight AC 877, told CBC News he saw the incident from his seat.

"It took two or three of the attendants to subdue her and they were thinking about, I think, putting her in some kind of tether. And they did that because she was not having anything to do with them," he said.
