Last week Bruce Willis stepped out in a pair of sandals with socks, picking up where David Beckham left off last summer. No, we aren’t classing 59-year old Willis as some sort of fashion barometer, but bear with us. This is more than a blip. With various stylishly nuanced young ladies – Rita Ora, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Elle Fanning – stepping out in the hitherto contraband combo, it was only a matter of time before the boys followed suit.
