Banks have been known to resort to a number of gimmicks to get customers through the door, but the latest is perhaps the most bizarre.
Russia's largest lender is offering customers a moving in present in the shape of a cat.
Customers can choose one of ten cats from the lender's website, including a ginger cat called "Apricot" and another hairless cat named "Kuzma."
It's then delivered via a special service from the bank to the new property. The lender no doubt hopes that the perk will boost its mortgage sales - particularly among cat lovers.
However, the cat is acting as a short-term vistor, rather than a fully-fledged new resident.
It's good luck if cats are the first to enter a home, according to Russian traditions, so they are loaned to cross the threshold. The bank's site shows a video of customers who have already used the service, welcoming the felines into their home.
