Our client one of the big 5 Canadian banks has engaged us on a full-time job opportunity for a Senior Manager of Data Modeling. This role will be technical in nature and have oversight over a team of 3-4 very experienced data modellers that are currently contracting. This role is key to a large scale project that the bank is going through right now and certainly a high visibility role with opportunity for growth.

The ideal candidate for this role would have much of the following :

7+ years of experience in data modeling
2+ years of experience in a financial services organization
1+ years of experience in a management capacity, someone that can lead by example and instill a high level of employee engagement and satisfaction as well as learning opportunities
The ability to work well amongst different internal teams getting buy-in from other technical groups, business groups and product groups
A strong multi-tasker that can identify issues, map out a process and deliver on it either personally or through your team
Strong "hands on" experience in SQL, ERWIN
Ideally someone that knows SAS or has the ability / interest to learn it
Ideally someone with some Basel II knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to think about your audience and translate or present technical information at times to a non technical audience

- $95,000 - $115,000 base
- Bonus - 15% - 20% depending on personal and corporate performance
