Some residents of an Etobicoke neighbourhood can’t believe a now infamous photo of the city’s Mayor with three men, one a murder victim, appears to have been snapped on their street.
“This is absolutely impossible,” Nijole Ardavicius, a longtime area resident, said of accusations the bungalow is a crack den frequented by the mayor.
Ardavisius confirmed the house is owned by Lina Basso, an elderly woman whose husband Elio died in 2009, and said several of her adult kids also live in the home.
And she was taken aback when asked if she had ever seen police at the house.
“Are you kidding? That’s a really nice old lady living here,” she said.
