There is supposed to be an ethic to being a journalist. You don't print potentially libelous statements about anybody without having accessible proof that it is fact and not libel. It is not "important" to print something just because it serves some editorial purpose. That's why e have slander laws. Now you have nothing if you get taken to court so in court you'll get taken to the cleaners. There is nothing worse than yellow journalism and this is a textbook case. I do not wish you luck.
