Here are the difference to BR, in brief (note this was sent in response to a backer's message, and has not been edited for grammar, punctuation, or anything else my junior high teachers might take offense to):

1. Sliding D-ring vs. sliding strap. On BR, the intent of the strap is for it to remain stationary, while the camera clips onto a sliding D-Ring. In theory, a great idea, and a little less good in practice. As their product has evolved, you can see that they've tried to add in other attachments (there is a secondary strap which goes around your back to assist the "stationary desire" of the strap. We think it's unnecessary. Instead of trying to make a strap stay still and have a piece which slides loosely on the stationary strap, we decided to make our strap out of a material which glides smoothly. This menas you never have to fight with the strap to keep it in the ideal position. It is where it is, and it feels good throughout.

2. Configuration. Depending on the shape of your camera (lenses, flashes, grips, etc...), you might want to hang your camera upside down, out to the side, right side up....it's constantly changing. BR can only hang a camera upside down. With the Leash, hang it how you want to. Because you have two attachment points, you can control the orientation.

3. Size. Ours fits in a pocket. BR takes up an entire camera bag.

4. Removability. You will actually take pleasure in connecting and detaching Leash. The mechanism is fantastic.

5. Compatibility. You can use our product with your tripod setup, no matter what tripod you use. And it works even better if you're using Capture.

6. Not just a sling strap. BR is one product...a sling strap. Sometimes, you may want to use Capture (if you've never used Capture...trust me on this one), and the Leash can be a safety strap. Sometimes, you've got a shoulder bag or a backpack, and you can't use a sling. Leash can become a neck strap. And you know that video mode on your SLR....works a hell of a lot better if you have something to tention it with, and the adjustability of Leash is the best product I know for that.

7. Cost. Ours, purchased from the kickstarter, is 1/3 the cost of a BR.
